Aurore Confiance Groeningen

- the unyielding, cheerful medic of the golden deer! -
Profile
-Family lore-
The second born of Baron Groeningen of the Leicester Alliance.
House Groeningen is a minor noble family with past history in the Kingdom of Faerghus that only later moved away, when Aurore was still small.
As typical of houses of the Alliance, House Groeningen stands out as rather independent-thinking and more detatched from noble traditions.
In fact, it can be considered closer to a family of merchants, not so interested in competition for power, but rather interested in establishing their wealth through their business: music. The Groeningens have a long genealogy of music composers and performers well known in all of Fòdlan, that often were required all over the continent, even by the Adrestian Empire or the Church, for their services. That's why, as business became more intense, viscount Groeningen decided to move to the Alliance, in a strategic territory confining with both Faerghus and Garreg Mach.
As expected, compared to other nobles, Aurore grew up in a rather open-minded, warm context, where family and culture are valued more than crests and hunger for power.
-Aurore's lore pre-Garreg Mach-
As well as her other two siblings (an elder brother and a younger sister), Aurore received a musical education, although her childhood was a rather delicate phase for her: she was born in fact a rather sickly child, who often fell in critical health condition.
As much she received all love needed by her family, she often found herself constrained in a shell of over-protection, which made her pass rather distressing, lonely times. In spite of that, she never coped with it in an introvert or pessimistic way, but rather always exhibited the desire to break free and go outside to see more of the world as well as meeting more people. This somehow turned on the desire in her to learn a way to look after herself and never be sick again, hence how she began to be attracted to medicine and healing magic.
As she grew up and family moved to the Alliance, where the weather was more lenient, she slowly recovered and started studying autonomously and with great determination. She finally became more aware of her dream to become a medic, not just to prevent her health to be compromised again, but also to help those like her who are frail and alone but can't allow themselves cures.
At the age of 17, she then expressed her desire to study at Garreg Mach, the nearby academy, rather than continuing her education at home where resources where limited and she couldn't make actual concrete experiences. In spite of their initial insecurities, the determination of the daughter convinced her parents, that soon allowed her to enroll. The other two siblings instead kept pursuing family's footsteps at home, studying to become the next composers/musicians of House Groeningen.
-Aurore's lore at Garreg Mach, pre-timeskip-
Inspite of her enthusiasm and optimism, Aurore's first experience at the Officer's Academy isn't all sweet and perfect, as expected of a child raised in a protective shell.
Homesickness and the struggles of the battlefield esercitations are tough trials for her, although she reveals herself quite capable of taking challenges and making new friends, both for her easy-going manners and, in part, due to her naiveté and lack of sense of danger. She can feel rather lost and insecure though when having to deal with situations on her own, hence why she sticks around professor Byleth and her house leader as much as possible. Her lacking constitution also makes her rather clumsy at physical work-out, althouh she proves to be talented with Faith and Reason and very hard-working and reliable when it comes to extra-curricular activities around the monastery.
Together with regular accademic studies, she naturally keeps up her medical education, visiting the monastery's library as often as possible and sometimes lurking professor Manuela's infirmary.
Spoilers (post-timeskip)
-Verdant Wind-
After the fall of Garreg Mach, Aurore returns to her family territories. This doesn't stop her from continuing her pursuit of the medical career though as she decides to put her theorical proficiencies and knowledge of the battlefield to use. For the 5 year timeskip, she operates as a paramedic and wandering healer for the Alliance forces, building more solid experience and finally growing more independent and confident in her skills. When she returns to Garreg Mach with the other Golden Deers, she has become a very capable, praised, bright doctor, who helps out consistently at the infirmary as Manuela's colleague and assistant. She's also less helpless and more determined on the battlefield in general, finally accepting that she has to fight for the best.
-Silver Snow/Azure Moon-
Similar to above, although in her 5 years as wandering healer she travels around Faerghus/Garreg Mach to offer provide aid out of the battlefield to common citizens and innocents involved in fights or bandit raids.
-Crimson Flower-
Joining the Black Eagles' strike force, Aurore has no choice but to remain at Garreg Mach for 5 years until the return of Byleth, time during which she keeps honing her medical skills by supporting Edelgard's army and aiding the villagers around the monastery.
This period proves to be even harsher on her compared to pre-timeskip as she finds herself unable to contact or see her family, while also feeling guilty for finding herself against her homeland because of how events turned out.
While she feels conflicted, she realizes that in order to become a good medic she has to help out anyone in need of her, in spite of their affiliation, so she never considers defection as long as her family is not endangered.
House Groeningen, as a family of minor relevance, proves to be neutral in the turmoil unleashed among the Alliance's noble houses and only upon hearing that their daughter sided with the Empire, Aurore's parents will also decide to side with it.
Extra
Aurore is allergic to cats. It's a rather ironical condition considering the big presence of felines at the monastery, but she copes with it by taking self-made anti-istaminic. That doesn't imply that she hates cats though, she just can't be around them or she'll start sneezing no-stop.
Even at present time she's quite susceptible to colds and flu.
Aurore is rather capable at producing raw meds and drugs from plants and herbs. Claude sometimes turns to her to ask for tips when planning his schemes, although she never abuses her knowledge unless strictly necessary
Aurore is a dog person: she claims to have had a puppy dog as a child
Aurore is rather terrible at gardening and claims that plants she takes care of usually don't live very long, unironically.
Aurore loves choir practice, although she's shy about her voice. In fact, she claims to be more confident performing with an instrument (the piano), like she did back home.
In her free time, when feeling nostalgic about home, Aurore loves to read sheets of music, which is the closer thing to listening some music.
Loves dancing waltz.
Aurore is a believer of the Church, although in her scientific mindset she's rather flexible and willing to break some of the stricter rules to learn more about medicine. This makes her rather intrigued about the forbidden books banned by the Church to Abyss, for example, and would be curious to read them if brought up to the surface.
Aurore takes a lot of care about her appearance, especially about her hair. She also loves it when someone brushes it for her. She's very fond of fashion too.
Aurore is very careful about her diet and always makes sure to eat balanced healthy food. That makes her very versatile and open to most dishes in the dining hall, save for some exceptions. She has a weakness for icy treats though (aka the peach sorbet)
Aurore likes to use her ice magic to produce some ice lollipops
Aurore is a book person and a chilly weather person that easily suffers heat
Aurore often has cold hands, hence why she wears gloves in pre-timeskip
If promoted to Dark Flier, Aurore will have a black pegasus named Licorice
Aurore is an average cook and can prepare a few dishes if needed.
Aurore deeply fears the idea of falling ill and being bedridden, incapable of doing anything.
Although she's rather smart, she has a terrible poker-face for board games. She's also a terrible liar.
Hapi calls her "Dr. Sunshine"/"Sunshine", while Dorothea calls her "Rory"
She likes to be called "Rore" by family of very close people like her romantic partner
she looks up to Manuela as a physician
In her post-timeskip attire, she hides treats for patients as well as a few first aid tools in her pockets. She always has a handkerchief hidden in her little pocket on her chest too.
She will probably panic at the sight of big bugs/spiders
Personality and Traits
Aurore has a very easy-going, extrovert and generally peppy personality, even around strangers. Sometimes, this overlaps with naiveté and excess of trust toward people, which is due to her lack of experience around people in her life. Her optimism and enthusiasm though - sometimes with some struck of natural luck too - make people somehow warm up easily around her, allowing her to make her way through the toughest of challenges.
Aurore is thus a rather charismatic presence, both for her attitude and, in part, due to her role as the generally /frail girl/ of the group (unlike Hilda she's actually weaker of constitution and doesn't boast about it on purpose). This makes her naturally gifted when it comes to most humanitarian part of her quest to become a medic and healer as she turns out to be a comforting soothing presence to be around with.
She doen't lack however her quirky sides: in spite of her empathy and sensitiveness toward other people, when it comes to medical talk she becomes rather eloquent and could easily start digressing over more morbid medical/scientific trivialities in the middle of a normal conversation, withouth even realizing it. She also doesn't seem to be aware to have a subtle and soft dark sense of humor. She probably grew to be /dull/ around certain topics as a consequence of her sickly childhood, where living another day, at times, was an uncertainty.
In pre-timeskip, behind her peppy mask, Aurore hides several insecurities too. She often happens to feel homesick or to be overwhelmed by sense of guilt after a battle, which always lead her to hide in the library at night shedding some tears when nobody is looking. She feels a deep sense of shame when her weaker side pops up and hates the idea of being a dead weight to others. On top of that, she never really gets used to the idea of taking a life, especially when she wants to call herself a medical worker. Somehow, this steels her will to study harder in order to prove herself independent and strong, fighting back her tears.
As expected, Aurore is one of the most-hardworking student, who doesn't hesitate to help other classmates out with accademical studies. This balances her more underwhelming physical performances in battle.
Post-timeskip
In post-timeskip, Aurore remains pretty much the same, although she manages to overcome her insecurities and sense of guilt when it comes to battle. For her, taking a life to save the one of an ally becomes more acceptable.
She's thus a more independent woman that can look after herself, although remaining overall weak of constitution and sometimes pushing herself a bit too hard, nearly to collapse.
She also happens to use her recognized position as paramedic to act rather authoritative around stubborn allies that neglect their health.

English is not my first language, but I'll do my best to keep a clean writing. Be patient for any occasional typo please!
age: +21
SFW only, sometimes with darker themes in post-timeskip.
Selective with interactions. I will only interact with mutuals (so, if we follow each other). It may take me a longer time to get used to other OCs if I don't know them well enough/if they don't give enough info and background to work with. Please understand!
I don't follow accounts that are mainly crack RP, or with very OOC portrayal from canon, or centered strictly on NSFW/lewd RP.
Will only interact within the 3H verse, as in only FE3H characters and OCs of said game. No FE3H AUs of other FE characters and no OC/custom Houses either
Prefers serious over crack, but will not hesitate to engage in TL banter and crackposting
I'm more comfortable RPing on the timeline (QRTs or replies) rather than DMs
Usually will write literate, but will try and match detail
If I haven't replied to our thread, feel free to bump/DM me about it! There may be a chance that I drop it, however, due to various reasons
Account is currently multiship with bias. This is subject to change. Must have character and writer chem. Each ship is its own verse, I will not do poly.
Muse is bisexual with male lean
Please do not be pushy/pressure me for a ship, I get very uncomfortable about that easily
Please don't DM me asking to plan a ship in advance.
Once shipped with another muse, both muns have the right to suspend the ship anytime should they get tired for any reason. Everyone has the right to enjoy RP and to live it without any anxiety! This is my policy.
If we are shipping, I'd like to keep romantic interactions to timeskip. A few pre-timeskip interactions before settling the ship would also be required for the best development. Fluff is always fine!
Mutuals are welcome to @ me with a quick starter whenever!
Mutuals are welcome to DM me for plot ideas
Do not add me to lists if we are not mutuals
Will not engage in NSFW RP (subject to change but most likely will not happen)
